How do we build student capacity within our students that allows opportunity to gain 21st century skills? We recognize that instilling 21st century skills within the educational experience for our students is necessary and we strive to create an environment of personalized learning. As schools become less teacher centered, and more student centered, 21st century skills are essential and necessary to become college and career-ready and globally competitive. In this session, we will show you how students put on their very own student led technology conference as they gained those 21st century skills. That’s right, they planned, prepared, and presented at their very own conference; just like adults do at CUE! From start to finish, as students were involved in putting on this incredible event, they gained skills such as creativity, collaboration, communication and critical thinking. But more importantly, they were empowered to take ownership of their learning.
