Jason Buchanan is the Director of Technology for Apple Valley USD. He has over 26 years experience working in California K12 technology. Jason worked for 4 school districts starting at Lucerne Valley USD, a small, 900 student, rural school district in southern California. From LVUSD he became the Director of IT for Silver Valley USD, a district of 2,500 students. In 2009 Jason joined Monrovia School District as their Chief Technology Officer. Finally, in 2016, he took the Director of IT position at Apple Valley USD, a K12 district of about 13,800 students. Jason has led a variety of projects both large and small. This experience has been invaluable in the development of the project management system used at AVUSD.
